Privatae Scholae

I offer both private lessons and tutoring in Latin, Classical Greek and Koine (Biblical) Greek in Minnesota's Twin Cities of Minneapolis - Saint Paul.

Tutoring:
This is most appropriate for people desiring extra help in a Latin or Greek class which they are currently taking. I tutor students at beginning and intermediate levels, primary through post-secondary schools. Sessions can include review for upcoming tests and quizzes, help on current homework, and further help on tough concepts. Using your current course work, we will develop organizational, studying and prioritizing skills. These three skills are imperative for the successful student. During tutoring sessions we will primarily use your school's text book with some supplementary exercises free of charge. If necessary, I will ask to consult with your current teacher regarding your plan and goals for our tutoring sessions.

Private Lessons:
These are geared more for people who are not currently taking Latin or Greek at another institution. During your consultation we will discuss your goals and devise a plan to achieve those goals. This could be your first time opening a Latin or Greek textbook, or maybe you previously studied Latin or Greek and would like to touch up on your skills. Be prepared to purchase a text book if you are taking private lessons.

Schedule of Fees

Lessons are one hour each and are calculated on a monthly basis. Fees can be paid in the form of cash, check or money order and are due on the first of each month. Prices remain the same regardless of weeks per calendar month. Consultation and first lesson are free.

Prices are listed according to the frequency of hourly lessons per week. The more lessons per week, the less each lesson costs:

One month of
weekly sessions = $100
twice weekly sessions = $ 160
thrice weekly sessions = $210
